Ease
I created this collection while in quarantine at my childhood home during the Covid-19 pandemic. After weeks of not feeling inspired to create, due to the overwhelming current events and extreme changes to my daily life, I found ease and comfort by returning to my watercolors, a medium I had once called my favorite but hadn’t touched in over a year. The free flow of the paint and water acted as a form of meditation, while the summer sounds of cicadas and wildflowers served as my inspiration. Ease creates a grounding and calming effect through motifs and medium, while generating positivity and optimism through color.
